As one of the longest-standing team members at Silversands Grenada, Kerrim has carved a path defined by creativity, passion, and dedication, becoming an unforgettable part of the guest experience.

Kerrim’s journey into bartending started unconventionally—with flair bartending videos on social media. “I fell in love with the skill and showmanship,” he recalls. What began as curiosity quickly turned into a calling. After completing bar school, he set his sights on one goal: to work at the best hotel in Grenada. Silversands had just launched, captivating the island with its bold design and luxury experience. It wasn’t just a dream job—it was the destination.

He began humbly, supporting the pool and beach team while waiting for a chance to step behind the bar. That patience paid off. Today, Kerrim is not only a key presence at Grenadian Grill but a valued senior member of the team. “It feels like home,” he says. “A place where I can leave my legacy.”

Kerrim’s flair and imagination extend to his cocktail creations. Inspired by bold mixologists and his own out-of-the-box creativity, he’s developed a signature drink guests can’t stop talking about: “Taste the Rainbow.” This vibrant layered cocktail blends red, yellow, and blue hues with local fruits like guava, mango, pineapple, and lime, finished with a splash of Blue Curaçao and Grenada’s beloved Black Gold rum. It’s more than a drink—it’s an experience.

What makes Kerrim’s approach stand out is how deeply rooted it is in Grenadian culture. He often names cocktails after local landmarks and incorporates the island’s signature spices and flavors to celebrate the essence of the destination.

But what really sets Kerrim apart is his spirit. He believes the key to keeping the energy high night after night is a positive attitude—and a sense of fun. “When you make your team smile, that energy comes right back to you,” he says. Whether he’s welcoming guests or motivating colleagues, Kerrim brings warmth and charisma to every shift.

His advice to aspiring bartenders? “Don’t be afraid to step outside your comfort zone. Keep a positive attitude because it pays off, and always be open to learning new things. Show off your skills, dare to be different—it’s your superpower.”

Outside the bar, you’ll likely find Kerrim in the kitchen, experimenting with local and international dishes, or staying active in the gym, on the football field, or volleyball court. His energy doesn’t stop when the shift ends.

And as for what’s next? Kerrim is just getting started. His eyes are set on mastering the art of wine and becoming a true expert in rum. “I want to grow overseas, refine my craft, and one day return to Silversands as Bar Manager,” he says with confidence.
